Cup - SACT (Seattle Area Cup Tennis)
Cups is a women’s interclub league that is offered here at CPTC that allows members to sign up on teams based on levels that will then play against teams from other local tennis clubs. These matches are held during weekdays and usually at 11:30am or 1:00pm; this runs from September through February. This is an amazing opportunity to be introduced into a social tennis community of women.
This league play is an incredible way to get into competitive tennis. You can sign up for mixed, men, or women’s leagues; and also for different age groups; it is offered all year long. Most matches are weekend evenings and you play other local tennis clubs. Besides great competitive tennis, you will also get an opportunity to socialize with fellow tennis enthusiasts. If your team does well enough, like many of our teams have, you can move onto sectionals and even nationals – come check out all of the banners CPTC teams have gained over the years!
Central Park hosts many tournaments throughout the year. These tournaments either offer chances for members to compete or watch some incredible tennis. While some fun and social tournaments are open to members (Bellevue/CPTC tournament in February; MXD in July; Club Championships in September/October), there are also competitive tournaments held for Juniors and adults (Northwest Washington Invitational – USTA sanctioned adult event in January; Washington State Challengers Tournament – USTA sanctioned junior event in July/August). Keep an eye out for what’s coming to CPTC, there’s always something in the works!
Here at CPTC, supporting the community is very important to us. Because of this, we look for any opportunity to reach out to others.
Want to mix up your tennis plans? Club socials are the perfect way to meet other members, play tennis, and have a grand ole time! Mix Up Tennis is a favorite that starts with fun tennis matches then is followed by some sort of social/dinner – and sometimes it’s even karaoke.
